Vision
A Sustainable and Equitable India
We didn’t begin with a grand plan. It started with a question and a lot of restlessness.
Ekta Jaju, one of our co-founders, was looking for something more meaningful than a desk job. She wanted to understand the world beyond cities, beyond comfort zones. So she started traveling, listening, and learning, sometimes on a cycle, sometimes just sitting with people over chai. The more she saw, the clearer it became: the biggest ideas often come from the ground up.
What began as small efforts, clean energy campaigns, youth engagement, farmer conversations, slowly grew into something larger. A space where people could come together to take on real issues: how do we grow food without harming the land? How can young people in rural areas find purpose and work they’re proud of? What will it take to make villages self-reliant and thriving?
That’s how SwitchON came to life. Not as a project, but as a journey. And over the years, many have joined in, farmers, women entrepreneurs, solar technicians, students, and changemakers from all walks of life.
We’re still learning. Still listening. But we know one thing for sure: real change happens when we walk alongside people, not ahead of them.
