Aparjit Dutta is the Research & Documentation Manager, leading applied research on climate change, energy transition, decentralised renewable energy (DRE) and urban climate resilience. His work spans primary & secondary research, quantitative modelling, carbon-footprint assessments, policy analysis, programme planning, capacity-building initiatives. With a strong grounding in analytical methods and field-based insights, he supports evidence-driven interventions that strengthen climate action & sustainable development.
He holds an M.Phil. in Urban Planning (JRF), JNU (2023), and has served as the Principal Researcher for an ICSSR-funded study on energy transition, along with conducting extensive field research across rural and urban regions. He has presented his work at national seminars and academic forums, adding to his growing contribution to climate and energy research. His previous work includes leading the ICSSR study “Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana — Impact on the Lives of Women in Assam and West Bengal” (2023–24).
Beyond this, he enjoys writing short stories, reading, critically watching indie films and documentaries and closely following international relations and geopolitics.
