Sourav Porel works as a Field Officer, supporting FPO initiatives and projects focused on sustainable agriculture and farmer empowerment. A B.A. (Honours) in History from the University of Calcutta (2019), he has experience mobilizing farmers, conducting meetings, onboarding members into FPO groups, and facilitating training programs under projects like the Soni Mitti Mission and IFC initiatives.

He has promoted the adoption of Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) farming methods to improve water-use efficiency, established demonstration plots to showcase innovative farming practices, and conducted solar awareness programs for farmers. His work has strengthened farmer engagement, capacity-building, and adoption of sustainable agricultural techniques.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and cooking, reflecting his curiosity, creativity, and interest in exploring new experiences.
